• Demolding times are specified by reference values, whereby in the cases of handling demolding and manual operator intervention, the user should make inputs according to experience. In the case of gravity demolding, the demolding time is allocated approximately in 3 stages (1; 1.5; 2 s) according to the number of cavities.
  • Demolding times by handling device (robot) for molded parts of small to medium size, are usually in the range of 2 to 6 seconds.
  • Dry running times or dry running numbers are determined according to EUROMAP 6 as the time for mold and, if necessary, nozzle movements. They are a measure of the basic speed of the injection molding machines. Information can be obtained from the machine documents of the SGM manufacturers or from the software database. The dry run times in the software refer to the standard stage of the respective machine type. Dry running times reduced by special power amplification must be entered directly. For the machine idle time within the cycle, 1.5 times the dry running time is specified as a flat rate value, since a more precise determination is often not possible or is too time-consuming.                              
  • For multi-station machines, the minimum station change time must be added to the dry running time and the total entered.
