• select the type of gearing
  • if necessary, enter the helix angle (helical gearing).
  • enter the number of teeth and the tooth width for the small and large wheel. The minimum number of teeth is 14.
  • if the normal module has already been entered beforehand, the pitch circle diameters are calculated and displayed immediately.
  • select the type of gear shield
  • enter the surface of the gearbox housing for closed or partially closed gears.


Gearbox shielding against the free environment is understood to include both special gearbox enclosures (gearbox housings) and any form of structurally specified shells, walls, covers, etc.


🕭 If you change the number of teeth on one gear, the speed of the other gear is recalculated (as soon as all other required inputs/decisions have been made).


Notes on the TRIAL version:


  • Number of teeth only permissible in the range 50...70
  • for helical gearing only 11° can be specified as helix angle
