We have revised the software PolSelec.

The new version 3.5.5 – even more intuitive and efficient

With the new version, the user interface has been comprehensively revised to make operation even more intuitive and efficient. Help and information functions have been expanded so that important features are accessible with just a few clicks.

We have completely redesigned the software PolTolerances-AC. Functions according to DIN ISO 20457 are now automatically taken into account.

The new Version 3.0 – even more intuitive and efficient

With the new version, the user interface has been extensively redesigned to make operation even more intuitive and efficient. Many functions that previously required several individual steps can now be performed much faster and more conveniently. Frequently used actions have been combined and logically reorganized, allowing important functions to be accessed with just a few clicks. In addition, new wizards assist users with key tasks. These guide the user step by step through more complex inputs and calculations, ensuring that all relevant parameters are entered completely and correctly. The result is a significantly smoother workflow: fewer clicks, better overview, and noticeably faster processing of your projects.

We now also offer the Commercial Products Database software module (which is included in all of our software products) as a standalone software product under the name PolPlastics.

The PolCycleTime software now includes, in the new Version 4.3, an additional module for the calculation of conditioning times.

• In the software in the Snap connection module, the first (of two) closed cylindrical snap fittings has now been additionally integrated. Furthermore, all other snap fittings have been revised/adapted with regard to operation.
• In the module Gear Calculation the operation has been revised/optimized.

We have revised and extended the Commercial products software module. The software module is integrated in all our software products.

• the performance in the various search functions has been significantly improved.
• in addition to searching for property names, it is now possible to search for values or ranges of values. Multiple properties can be combined with each other.
• The graphical view of the distribution of property values has been revised and performance improved. Now the values for the dry and condition state are displayed together in one diagram.
• the integrated help as well as the online help have been revised accordingly

We have released version 3.0 of our PolPartDesign software. In this version, there is now an additional software module snap-fits.

• You can choose between 11 different connection types, connection principles or snap elements.
• Vary the snap-fits by different snap elements and profiles.
• The software includes calculation modules to roughly determine the E-modulus, the E0-modulus, the coefficient of friction and the allowable strain.
• All changes in decisions and inputs are immediately visible in the results
• Various progression charts assist you with variation and decision-making.
• Currently we have implemented 7 of the 11 different connection types. The remaining connection types, connection principles or snap elements will be provided in the form of free updates at a later time.

• Filter functions have been extended/adapted. Multiple polymer families can now be selected as filters. The polymer family filter now applies across all views

In the main window of the software you will now find another tab (on the left side), through which the functions of the module can be used.

• The software PolTolerances-AC has again been extensively redesigned in terms of operation and is now available in version 2.3.

• The software PolSelec is now available in version 3.4.3. Within the software, the climate-dependent water saturation concentration can now additionally be calculated. For this purpose, among others, maps of continental and marine climate zones have been integrated. The climate-dependent water saturation concentration can be calculated via the basic parameters contained in the database (water saturation concentration for water storage) and the climate zone selection.

The optionally available Software Component Commercial Products has been revised and the database updated. The database now contains approx. 4,000 more commercial products. The data of the existing commercial products has been updated. Now the media resistances published by the manufacturers are also included. In addition, the complete data sheet is now displayed in another tab.

The database currently contains approx. 14,000 commercial productse, approx. 36,000 property diagrams, approx. 200,000 property values, ...

The PolTolerances-AC software has been redesigned and released as version 2.2.

• Some bugs related to changing application conditions afterwards have been fixed
• the operation has been further revised/made clearer
• there is now further support through appropriate notifications and tooltip information
• additional information regarding calculations/intermediate results

Our colleague Prof. Meyer has published another book via Hanser-Verlag. This book describes, among other things, many details and concepts that are also the content of our software products.

• Details of individual dimensions now additionally contain corresponding graphical representations of the resulting dimension change/dimension shift between acceptance condition of production (ABF) and application conditions (AWB).

Version 2.0 of the PolPartDesign software has been completed. In this version, custom plastics/plastic data can now be used for gear and gearbox calculations. In addition, the operation has been extensively redesigned and expanded.

The used material data of the supplied local database are now additionally displayed (partly graphically).

Our new software PolPartDesign has been completed in a first version. This version currently contains the software module Gear wheel calculations. Further software modules (e.g. snap-fits, ...) are in progress or will be added step by step. Existing modules will be extended and specified if necessary.

We have released version 3.3 of our PolCycleTime software. This version now additionally supports the English language.

We have released version 3.4 of our software PolSelec. Additional product requirements are now included in the database. These requirements are 'translated' into corresponding PolSelec selection criteria (material requirements). The database will be extended step by step.

We have released version 3.2 of our software PolCycleTime. In this version, the calculation of the middle demoulding temperature has been made more precise. Therefore it was necessary to adjust the input/decisions for the demoulding conditions. The following figure shows the new inputs.

The database of commercial products has been updated. There are now further approx. 2000 new commercial products included. The data of the already included commercial products were updated. The database is available for all software products as an optional component.

All our software products contain the optionally available software module "commercial products". This software module has been extended by the function "property charts". You can now search or display property charts. The polymer family, among others, serves as a possible filter.

We have published the software PolTolerances-AC. The software contains all functions for tolerances for plastic moulded parts according to DIN ISO 20457 / DIN 16742. In addition, dimensions, tolerances and fits can be analyzed in the software under application conditions and transformed to other dimensional reference planes. The optional software component "Commercial Products" has been extended and is available for all software products in an updated version.

You can now additionally search for values of certain plastic properties. To search simply enter the name of the property or a part of it. Furthermore you can filter the results by plastic family.

(1) The database of commercial products has been updated. There are now about 200 new commercial products included. The data of the commercial products already contained have been updated.

(2) The new version 3.4.2.x of our software PolTolerances has been released.

• the input/decisions to determine the realizable tolerance series are now part of the project file
• if the realizable tolerance series can be determined (all inputs available), the inputs and decisions are now also listed in the print log

The new version 3.4 of our software PolTolerances has been released.

• optional use of tolerance values according to DIN ISO 20457 or DIN 16742
• Switch between DIN ISO 20457 or DIN 16742 at any time (via the "Settings" menu). The data or results are immediately updated accordingly.
• The selected tolerance series can now be marked as not changeable/editable (e.g. to prevent inadvertent changes).

The new version 3.1 of our software PolCycleTime has been released.

• More than 100 injection moulding machines from ENGEL Austria GmbH are now included in the database.
• The expected part deformation is now taken into account as a further quality criterion for determining the cooling time.
• The calculation/display of the filling time was removed from the software, since a sufficient accuracy of this calculation is only given for small to medium moulded part sizes of simple complexity.
